MAMALIGA
CHEF HAAN PALCU-CHANG
BRANDING, ART DIRECTION, ASSET DESIGN, CONSULTATION
Was consulted to brand and create a toolkit for Chef Haan Palcu-Chang. Born Chinese-Romanian-Canadian, he wanted to tap into his Romanian roots with a restaurant concept he had been stewing in his mind for some time.
The concept is named “Mamaliga”, after the popular Romanian food item polenta. Cooking out of Favorites on Ossington, this immediately became a future-forward concept utilizing kitchen spaces/ ghost kitchens throughout the city.
This was a personally fun and rewarding project learning more about Eastern European cuisine and culture. The client was super pumped about the end result and how far the concept could go.
